Perfectly situated on the historic N12 Memorial Road, just outside the Diamond City, La D Da Lodge is far more than a convenient stopover on your journey between Johannesburg and Cape Town. It’s a story of family, genuine hospitality, and the unique, rugged spirit of the Northern Cape.

Founded in 2001 by the Lategan family—Louis, Heine, and Estelle—our lodge began as a modest 13-room haven. Driven by a commitment to excellent service with a personal touch, we’ve grown organically over 25 years into a 72-room sanctuary.

Today, we offer a range of comfortable accommodations, including 6 family rooms, 13 twin bed semi-self catering units, 49 double rooms, 4 one bedroom self-catering units and 19 two bedroom self-catering units. Each space is thoughtfully furnished with a TV, fridge, and coffee/tea facilities, and features a private en-suite bathroom, designed to be your comfortable retreat after a long day of travel.
